Born  in  476  CE  in  Kusumpur  (  Bihar ),  Aryabhatt’s  intellectual  brilliance  remapped  the  boundaries  of mathematics and astronomy. In 499 CE, at the  age of 23, he wrote a text on  astronomy and an unparallel treatise  on  mathematics  called  “Aryabhatiyam.”  He  formulated  the  process  of  calculating  the  motion  of planets and the time of eclipses. Aryabhatt was the first to proclaim that the earth is round, it rotates on its axis, orbits the  sun  and  is suspended in space – 1000 years before Copernicus published  his  heliocentric theory. He is also acknowledged for calculating p (Pi) to four decimal places: 3.1416 and the  sine table in trigonometry.  Centuries  later,  in  825  CE,  the  Arab  mathematician,  Mohammed  Ibna  Musa  credited  the value of Pi to the Indians, “This value has been given  by the Hindus.” And above all, his most spectacular contribution was  the  concept  of  zero  without which modern  computer technology would  have been  non-existent. Aryabhatt was a colossus in the field of mathematics.

BHASKARACHARYA(1114-1183 CE) GENIUS IN ALGEBRA
Born  in  the  obscure  village  of  Vijjadit  (Jalgaon)  in  Maharastra,  Bhaskaracharya’s  work  in  Algebra, Arithmetic  and  Geometry  catapulted  him  to  fame  and  immortality.  His  renowned  mathematical  works  called  “Lilavati“  and  “Bijaganita”  are  considered  to  be  unparalled  and  a  memorial  to  his  profound intelligence. Its translation in several languages of the world bear testimony to its eminence. In his treatise ” Siddhant Shiromani ” he  writes on  planetary positions, eclipses, cosmography, mathematical techniques and astronomical equipment. In the  ” Surya Siddhant  ” he  makes  a  note on  the force of gravity: “Objects fall on  earth due  to  a f orce of  attraction by the earth. Therefore, the earth, planets,  constellations, moon, and  sun  are  held  in  orbit  due  to  this  attraction.”  Bhaskaracharya  was  the  first  to  discover  gravity,  500 years  before Sir  Isaac  Newton  .  He  was  the  champion  among  mathematicians of  ancient  and  medieval India  . His works  fired  the imagination of  Persian  and  European  scholars,  who  through research  on  his works earned fame and popularity.

ACHARYA KANAD (600 BCE) FOUNDER OF ATOMIC THEORY

As the founder of  ” Vaisheshik  Darshan  “-  one  of six  principal philosophies  of India – Acharya Kanad was  a genius in philosophy. He is believed to have been born in Prabhas Kshetra near Dwarika in Gujarat . He  was the  pioneer  expounder  of  realism, law  of  causation  and  the  atomic theory.  He  has  classified  all  the objects of creation into nine elements, namely: earth, water, light, wind, ether, time, space, mind and soul. He  says,  “Every  object  of  creation  is  made  of  atoms  which  in  turn  connect  with  each  other  to  form molecules.” His  statement  ushered  in  the  Atomic Theory  for the  first time  ever  in the  world,  nearly  2500 years  before  John  Dalton  .  Kanad  has  also  described  the  dimension  and  motion  of  atoms  and  their chemical reactions  with each  other.  The  eminent  historian,  T.N.  Colebrook  ,  has  said,  “Compared to the scientists of Europe , Kanad and other Indian scientists were the global masters of this field.”

NAGRJUNA (100CE) WIZARD OF CHEMICAL SCIENCE
He was an extraordinary wizard of science born in the nondescript village of  Baluka in Madhya Pradesh . His  dedicated  research  for  twelve  years  produced  maiden discoveries  and  inventions in  the  faculties  of chemistry and  metallurgy.  Textual  masterpieces  like  “Ras  Ratnakar “  “Rashrudaya”  and “Rasendramangal”  are  his  renowned  contributions  to  the  science  of  chemistry.  Where  the  medieval alchemists  of  England  failed,  Nagarjuna  had  discovered  the  alchemy  of  transmuting  base  metals  into gold.  As  the  author  of  medical  books  like  “Arogyamanjari”  and  “Yogasar,”  he  also  made  significant contributions  to  the  field  of  curative  medicine.  Because of  his  profound  scholarliness  and  versatile knowledge,  he was  appointed as Chancellor of the f amous University of Nalanda . Nagarjuna’s milestone discoveries impress and astonish the scientists of today.

ACHARYA CHARAK (600BCE) FATHER OF MEDICINE

Acharya Charak has been  crowned as the Father of Medicine. His renowned work, the ” Charak Samhita “,is  considered  as  an  encyclopedia  of  Ayurveda.  His  principles, diagoneses,  and  cures  retain  their potency  and  truth  even  after  a  couple  of  millennia.  When  the  science  of   anatomy  was  confused  with different  theories in  Europe , Acharya  Charak revealed  through  his  innate  genius and enquiries the  facts on  human  anatomy,  embryology,  pharmacology,  blood  circulation  and  diseases  like  diabetes, tuberculosis,  heart disease,  etc.  In  the ” Charak  Samhita “  he has  described the  medicinal  qualities and functions  of  100,000  herbal  plants.  He  has  emphasized  the  influence  of  diet  and  activity  on  mind  and body.  He  has  proved  the  correlation  of  spirituality  and  physical  health  contributed  greatly  to  diagnostic and curative  sciences. He has also  prescribed  and  ethical charter f or  medical  practitioners two  centuries prior  to  the  Hippocratic  oath.  Through  his  genius  and  intuition,  Acharya  Charak  made  landmark contributions to  Ayurvedal. He forever  remains etched in the  annals of history  as one of  the greatest and noblest of rishi-scientists.

ACHARYA SHUSRUT(600BCE) FATHER OF PLASTIC SURGERY
A genius who has been glowingly recognized in the annals of medical science. Born to sage Vishwamitra, Acharya Sudhrut  details  the first  ever  surgery  procedures  in ” Sushrut Samhita ,”  a unique  encyclopedia of  surgery. He is venerated as the father of plastic surgery and  the science of anesthesia. When  surgery was in  its infancy  in Europe  ,  Sushrut was  performing Rhinoplasty  (restoration of a damaged  nose)  and other  challenging  operations.  In  the  “  Sushrut  Samhita  ,”  he  prescribes  treatment  for  twelve  types  of fractures  and  six  types  of  dislocations.  His  details  on  human  embryology  are  simply  amazing.  Sushrut used  125  types  of  surgical  instruments  including  scalpels,  lancets,  needles,  Cathers  and  rectal speculums;  mostly  designed  f rom  the  jaws  of  animals  and  birds.  He has also described a number of stitching methods; the  use  of  horse’s  hair  as  thread  and fibers  of  bark.  In the  ” Sushrut Samhita  ,” and fibers of bark. In the ” Sushrut Samhita ,” he details 300 types of operations. The ancient Indians were the pioneers  in  amputation,  caesarian  and  cranial  surgeries.  Acharya  Sushrut  was  a  giant  in  the  arena  of medical science.

VARAHAMIHIR(499-587 CE) EMINENT ASTROLOGER AND ASTRONOMER

Renowned astrologer  and  astronomer who  was  honored  with  a  special  decoration and  status  as  one  of the  nine  gems  in the  court of King  Vikramaditya  in Avanti ( Ujjain  ). Varahamihir’s book “panchsiddhant” holds a prominent place in  the realm of  astronomy.  He  notes that the  moon and planets  are lustrous  not because  of  their  own light  but  due  to  sunlight. In  the “  Bruhad  Samhita  “  and  “  Bruhad  Jatak  ,”  he  has revealed  his  discoveries in the domains  of geography, constellation, science,  botany and  animal science. In  his  treatise  on  botanical  science,  Varamihir  presents  cures  for various  diseases  afflicting  plants  and trees.  The  rishi-scientist  survives  through  his  unique  contributions  to  the  science  of  astrology  and astronomy.

ACHARYA PATANJALI(200 BCE) FATHER OF YOGA
The Science of Yoga is one of  several unique contributions of  India to the world. It  seeks to discover and realize  the  ultimate  Reality  through  yogic  practices.  Acharya  Patanjali  ,  the  founder,  hailed  from  the district of Gonda (Ganara) in Uttar Pradesh . He prescribed the control of prana (life breath) as the means to  control the body, mind and soul. This subsequently rewards one  with good health and inner happiness. Acharya  Patanjali  ‘s  84  yogic  postures  effectively  enhance  the efficiency  of  the  respiratory,  circulatory, nervous,  digestive  and  endocrine  systems  and  many  other  organs  of   the body.  Yoga  has  eight  limbs where  Acharya  Patanjali  shows  the  attainment  of  the  ultimate  bliss  of  God  in  samadhi  through  the disciplines  of:  yam,  niyam,  asan,  pranayam,  pratyahar,  dhyan  and  dharna.  The  Science  of  Yoga  has gained  popularity  because  of  its scientific approach and  benefits. Yoga  also  holds the  honored  place as one of  six philosophies  in the Indian philosophical system.  Acharya  Patanjali will f orever be remembered and revered as a pioneer in the science of self-discipline, happiness and self-realization.

ACHARYA BHARADWAJ(600 BCE) PIONEER OF AVIATION TECHNOLOGY

Acharya Bharadwaj had a hermitage in the holy city of Prayag and was an ordent apostle of Ayurveda and mechanical sciences. He authored the ” Yantra Sarvasva ” which includes astonishing and outstanding discoveries in aviation science, space science and flying machines. He has described three categories of flying machines: 1.) One that flies on earth from one place to another. 2.) One that travels from one planet to another. 3.) And One that travels from one universe to another. His designs and  descriptions have impressed and amazed aviation engineers of today. His brilliance in aviation technology is further reflected through techniques described by him:

1. Profound Secret: The technique to make a flying machine invisible through the application of sunlight and wind force.

2. Living Secret: The technique to make an invisible space machine visible through the application of electrical force.

3. Secret of Eavesdropping: The technique to listen to a conversation in another plane.

A CAPTCHA is a program that can tell whether its user is a human or a computer. You’ve probably seen them — colorful images with distorted text at the bottom of Web registration forms. CAPTCHAs are used by many websites to prevent abuse from “bots,” or automated programs usually written to generate spam. No computer program can read distorted text as well as humans can, so bots cannot navigate sites protected by CAPTCHAs.

About 200 million CAPTCHAs are solved by humans around the world every day. In each case, roughly ten seconds of human time are being spent. Individually, that’s not a lot of time, but in aggregate these little puzzles consume more than 150,000 hours of work each day. What if we could make positive use of this human effort? reCAPTCHA does exactly that by channeling the effort spent solving CAPTCHAs online into “reading” books.

To archive human knowledge and to make information more accessible to the world, multiple projects are currently digitizing physical books that were written before the computer age. The book pages are being photographically scanned, and then transformed into text using “Optical Character Recognition” (OCR). The transformation into text is useful because scanning a book produces images, which are difficult to store on small devices, expensive to download, and cannot be searched. The problem is that OCR is not perfect.

reCAPTCHA improves the process of digitizing books by sending words that cannot be read by computers to the Web in the form of CAPTCHAs for humans to decipher. More specifically, each word that cannot be read correctly by OCR is placed on an image and used as a CAPTCHA. This is possible because most OCR programs alert you when a word cannot be read correctly.

But if a computer can’t read such a CAPTCHA, how does the system know the correct answer to the puzzle? Here’s how: Each new word that cannot be read correctly by OCR is given to a user in conjunction with another word for which the answer is already known. The user is then asked to read both words. If they solve the one for which the answer is known, the system assumes their answer is correct for the new one. The system then gives the new image to a number of other people to determine, with higher confidence, whether the original answer was correct.

If you get email spam we have a method that will help you to reduce it. Many spammers crawl the web looking for email addresses. When they see an email address on a web page, they send spam to the address. Mailhide allows you to safely post your email address on the web. Mailhide takes an address such as jsmith@example.com and turns it into jsm…@example.com.

In order to reveal the address, a user must click on the “…” and solve a reCAPTCHA. If you use the Mailhide version of your email address, spammers won’t be able to find your real email address and you’ll get less spam.

The ‘Da Vinci Code’ is very SARAH AND ALEXANDER-like in its story telling. Both books are well written – the invisible villain, the savvy young heroine, the mysteries they are solving revealing ties to ancient secret societies protecting their secret knowledge in secret containers in secret places. Good news for you is that Hollywood is making the movie version of the da Vinci Code. Hollywood is a copycat society, who likes to spy on its neighbor and put out a movie with similar themes at the same time, or shortly after. The story of SARAH AND ALEXANDER will definitely qualify as a movie in the vein of the “Da Vinci Code.” All of this aside, I wouldn’t be surprised if Dan Brown visited Crystalinks repeatedly while doing his research. I was led to Ellie through clairvoyant messages which I began receiving months before I actually contacted her regarding a reading. I received images of the letter “Z” and of Merlin the Wizard. Just wanted to drop you a line and give you some positive feedback on SARAH AND ALEXANDER. I have to say that I hesitated ordering it for the longest time because I thought it was probably a love story. I dislike them and don’t read much fiction, so I just didn’t give it much thought. Then one day, I decided what the hey … I’m gonna just order the book. So I did, and guess what? I LOVED IT!!! It is well written, intriguing and wild. In fact, once I started I couldn’t put the sucker down. I finished it in less than 4 days, using every opportunity available. Your predictions of a movie are being seen in my Crystal ball too! It’s really a ‘no brainer,’ it’s just such a good story, that it must be redeemed by the silver screen. I hope you’re well in the works for a sequel. Ellie, I know why SARAH AND ALEXANDER is so critical for the closing of the program and the evolution of human consciousness. If reality is a program, your story is the time travel subroutine that is needed in human consciousness for the program to end. Once your book enters the public consciousness, it sets the seed for someone to create the physical mechanism that will permit time travel to take place. Once time travel is achieved, the program has to end because 3-D will no longer exist. If a physical being achieves time travel, memory is erased because the history will no longer be contained. Containment of history is the only proof that time is linear. If time becomes non-linear, then space separates from time and the frame of reference ceases to exist. This is how the fail safe is overridden. There is no second chance. The very first successful experiment, when time is breached, the whole world will know it. Not to mention the rest of the universe. I just finished SARAH AND ALEXANDER, and probably like most people couldn’t put it down, but had to in order to get some sleep! The story spoke to me on many levels. I feel as though it is a vehicle to opening up other channels of my consciousness. The storytelling aspect is wonderful because we all love stories and they can speak to us at whatever level we need them to. SARAH AND ALEXANDER … On a literary level: What a ride! I would also love to see it on the big silver screen! In pace and character development it reminded me a great deal of the Da Vinci Code (or vice versa!). For me your book was a real page turner … couldn’t wait to see what was going to happen next! On an energy level: What a ride! Over the two nights and three days I was reading the book, I experienced some really strange dreams. They came so fast that I could not seem to quite catch them. Although I routinely keep a dream journal, I was not able to record any of the information I got in the dreams. I do believe that whatever information was there for me will unfold at the right time and will not be lost. But drat, I hate it when that happens!! As I finished the book, I sensed a clock start ticking for me. Unlike the book, however, the clock I sense is ticking UP (forward) not ticking down like a timer as it was in the book. Meaning of Life? The Answer Without God
Meaning of Life? — Through the teaching of evolutionary science, materialism and moral relativism in our popular media and public school system, we’ve removed God from the potential answers to these ultimate questions of life. Without God, we lose any transcendent purpose for the universe in which we live. Without God, we lose any transcendent purpose to give meaning to our individual lives. We are nothing more than bugs struggling with survival until we die. All the achievements, the sacrifices, the good and beautiful efforts of people, the ugly and dark acts of people, are ultimately futile things of life. Without God, we also lose any possibility for life after death. When you remove the hope of heaven, you remove the ultimate value and purpose of life. What difference would it really make whether we lived like a Billy Graham or an Osama Bin Laden? Everyone’s fate would be the same anyway. This is the hopeless outlook of those who base their belief system on materialism, naturalism and the presupposition that life on earth is all there is.

Meaning of Life? The Answer With God
Meaning of Life? — The answer to this question cannot come from human intelligence or reason, but only from the Creator himself who transcends our material world. As we see in today’s naturalistic society, once we remove God from the equation, we start to lose all sense of purpose for mankind. But, if God exists, we really do have a transcendent purpose, and really do have meaning for our lives. Not only do we find day-to-day significance in our lives, but an ultimate significance through our hope in eternal life. If God exists, we remove the moral relativism that pervades today’s society, and we replace it with a standard of absolute right and wrong residing in the character of God Himself. This gives our day-to-day choices significance too. God gave us the ability to choose whether we live by His moral laws or by whatever values we assign to ourselves through our own reason. As we find, we are not mere robots placed on this earth by God. Rather, we have absolute free will to follow what He says or not. We can either recognize God as the Creator of the universe, or we can deny that He exists. We can choose to live a meaningless life or a life with absolute and eternal purpose.

Meaning of Life? When was the Last Time You Really Asked this Question?
Meaning of Life? – Who has time to ask this question anymore? Once we’ve finished high school biology or college philosophy, that question gets replaced by the day-to-day rat race of work, family and the mortgage. However, if the last time we really asked that question, we answered it by imagining that we are the highest form of life in the evolutionary process, we have robbed ourselves of any real chance for meaning, purpose and eternal hope. Our existence and future are devalued from being children of God to being just one of many species of animals on this earth. If you look at the last 150 years of history, it’s sad that mankind has felt the need to live according to alleged intelligence and reason rather than according to the laws and love of God. We encourage you to ask the question again. Examine the answers and evidence for yourself – you may be happy you did!

Who Wrote the Bible – Evidence of Divine Inspiration
“Who wrote the Bible” is a question that can be definitively answered by examining the biblical texts in light of the external evidences that supports its claims. 2 Timothy 3:16 states that “All scripture is inspired by God….” In 2 Peter 1:20-21, Peter reminds the reader to “know this first of all, that no prophecy of scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, … but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God.” The Bible itself tells us that it is God who is the author of His book.

God does not leave us with just claims of His divine handiwork in the Bible, but also supports it with compelling evidence. The design of the Bible itself is a miracle. Written over more than 1,500 years by vastly different writers, yet every book in the Bible is consistent in its message. These 66 books talk about history, prophecy, poetry, and theology. Despite their complexity, differences in writing styles and vast time periods, the books of the Bible agree miraculously well in theme, facts and cross-referencing. No human beings could have planned such an intricate combination of books over a 1,500-year time span. Bible manuscripts (remember, there were no printing presses until 1455) have survived despite weather, persecution and time. Most ancient writings written on weak materials like papyrus have vanished all together. Yet many copies of the Old Testament scriptures survived. For instance, the Dead Sea Scrolls contain all books of the Old Testament, except Esther, and have been dated to before the time of Christ. Consider Julius Caesar’s Gallic Wars. Only ten copies written about 1,000 years after the event are in existence. In comparison, there are over 24,000+ New Testament manuscripts, the earliest one dating to within 24 years after Christ.

The Bible also validates its divine authorship through fulfilled prophecies. An astonishing 668 prophecies have been fulfilled and none have ever been proven false (three are unconfirmed). An honest study of biblical prophecy will compellingly show the divine authorship of the Bible. Further, archeology confirms (or in some cases supports) accounts in the biblical record. No other holy book comes close to the Bible in the amount of evidence supporting its divine authorship.

Who Wrote the Bible – A Question of Eternal Significance
“Who Wrote the Bible” is indeed a question that everyone must ask. If indeed it is the Word of the living God, then no other book gives us more insight into our lives, more hope for our future, and a true path to a relationship with God. Search the Bible with openness and honesty and see for yourself what the Creator of the universe wants to tell you!

Darwin’s Theory of Evolution – Natural Selection
While Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is a relatively young archetype, the evolutionary worldview itself is as old as antiquity. Ancient Greek philosophers such as Anaximander postulated the development of life from non-life and the evolutionary descent of man from animal. Charles Darwin simply brought something new to the old philosophy — a plausible mechanism called “natural selection.” Natural selection acts to preserve and accumulate minor advantageous genetic mutations. Suppose a member of a species developed a functional advantage (it grew wings and learned to fly). Its offspring would inherit that advantage and pass it on to their offspring. The inferior (disadvantaged) members of the same species would gradually die out, leaving only the superior (advantaged) members of the species. Natural selection is the preservation of a functional advantage that enables a species to compete better in the wild. Natural selection is the naturalistic equivalent to domestic breeding. Over the centuries, human breeders have produced dramatic changes in domestic animal populations by selecting individuals to breed. Breeders eliminate undesirable traits gradually over time. Similarly, natural selection eliminates inferior species gradually over time.

Darwin’s Theory of Evolution – Slowly But Surely…
Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is a slow gradual process. Darwin wrote, “…Natural selection acts only by taking advantage of slight successive variations; she can never take a great and sudden leap, but must advance by short and sure, though slow steps.” [1] Thus, Darwin conceded that, “If it could be demonstrated that any complex organ existed, which could not possibly have been formed by numerous, successive, slight modifications, my theory would absolutely break down.” [2] Such a complex organ would be known as an “irreducibly complex system”. An irreducibly complex system is one composed of multiple parts, all of which are necessary for the system to function. If even one part is missing, the entire system will fail to function. Every individual part is integral. [3] Thus, such a system could not have evolved slowly, piece by piece. The common mousetrap is an everyday non-biological example of irreducible complexity. It is composed of five basic parts: a catch (to hold the bait), a powerful spring, a thin rod called “the hammer,” a holding bar to secure the hammer in place, and a platform to mount the trap. If any one of these parts is missing, the mechanism will not work. Each individual part is integral. The mousetrap is irreducibly complex. [4]

Darwin’s Theory of Evolution – A Theory In Crisis
Darwin’s Theory of Evolution is a theory in crisis in light of the tremendous advances we’ve made in molecular biology, biochemistry and genetics over the past fifty years. We now know that there are in fact tens of thousands of irreducibly complex systems on the cellular level. Specified complexity pervades the microscopic biological world. Molecular biologist Michael Denton wrote, “Although the tiniest bacterial cells are incredibly small, weighing less than 10^-12 grams, each is in effect a veritable micro-miniaturized factory containing thousands of exquisitely designed pieces of intricate molecular machinery, made up altogether of one hundred thousand million atoms, far more complicated than any machinery built by man and absolutely without parallel in the non-living world.” [5]

And we don’t need a microscope to observe irreducible complexity. The eye, the ear and the heart are all examples of irreducible complexity, though they were not recognized as such in Darwin’s day. Nevertheless, Darwin confessed, “To suppose that the eye with all its inimitable contrivances for adjusting the focus to different distances, for admitting different amounts of light, and for the correction of spherical and chromatic aberration, could have been formed by natural selection, seems, I freely confess, absurd in the highest degree.” [6]
